Avnet ZUBoard 1CG workshops (Italy)
21 Nov 2023 - 14 Dec 2023
Italy, multiple locations

Avnet Silica is providing an in-person, interactive workshop utilizing the Avnet ZUBoard 1CG. In order to participate in these workshops, it is necessary to acquire and have the board delivered by Avnet Silica before the course date. Each workshop spans an entire day and includes lunch. The workshops cover a range of topics, including Hardware, Software, and PetaLinux, all offered at various locations. If you are keen on gaining knowledge about AMD adaptive SoCs and wish to develop your own hardware, we encourage you to enroll in these courses to secure your spot. Please select the event(s) that best suits your needs.
Don´t forget to order your board in advance:
p/n: AES-ZUB-1CG-DK-G, Special price which allows you to attend to any of the events & lunch -> 300$.

Hardware course:
The Hardware workshop teaches development of a Zynq™ UltraScale+™ MPSoC platform using the AMD Vivado tool and covers the MPSoC architecture. Vivado configures the processing system parameters, including clocking, memory interface, and peripherals. Vivado also supports developing custom hardware in the programmable logic. In this workshop, you will build a working hardware platform that runs example code on the ZUBoard 1CG development kit.
Software course:
The Software workshop explores the fundamental concepts of the AMD Vitis tool. Using a pre-built hardware platform, you will learn how to navigate the Vitis environment and develop basic C-code examples for the ZUBoard 1CG development kit. This will include loading board support package, developing applications, debugging, and other skills. In the conclusion of the workshop, attendees will create examples using the two on board sensors from ST Micro.
Petalinux course:
The PetaLinux workshop will teach you how to develop a Zynq™ UltraScale+™ MPSoC embedded platform using the AMD PetaLinux tool and covers the process of adding sensors to the ZUBoard 1CG. PetaLinux supports making a customized kernel and boot loader configuration for embedded Linux. You will learn to import existing Vivado hardware designs into PetaLinux and add custom application to the ZUBoard 1CG development kit.
Attendees will learn how to get started on AMD Adaptive SoC featured on the ZUBoard 1CG which is the smallest Zynq™ UltraScale+™ CG device in the AMD portfolio with Dual-core Arm® Cortex®-A53 MPCore™, Dual-core Arm Cortex-R5F MPCore, Dynamic Memory Interface, High-Speed Peripherals, 4.8Mb RAM, 81K logic cells, and four 6Gb/s transceivers. The ZUBoard 1CG is a low-cost reference design that is perfect for newcomers to MPSoC and FPGAs or those looking to learn more about AMD tools and design methodology.
