Brushless DC or BLDC motors continue to grow in popularity in Industrial applications due to their longer lifetime, small size and low maintenance. BLDC motors are commonly used in Industrial automation, HVAC, electric vehicles, medical equipment and white goods.

One of the biggest advantages of BLDC motors is efficiency as they can operate continuously at their maximum torque. However, BLDC motor control require complex drive systems, and a robust power stage to ensure that the motor runs at maximum efficiency. This can be achieved by using modules such as Intelligent Power Modules (IPMs) or Transfer Molded Power Integrated Modules (PIM) with internal protection and high thermal efficiency.

Designing an efficient and reliable Industrial drive solution can become complicated and can take a long time to develop, but our motor development kits make it easy and quick. The MDKs are a comprehensive prototyping platform that consist of a Universal Controller Board (UCB) which connects to an expanding variety of Power Boards to create quick-start platforms to run your motor, allowing you to rapidly test, evaluate and optimize your system before designing any hardware.
