Renesas RX26T MCU

RX26T - The successor of RX24T/RX24U, with 120MHz operating frequency, RXv3 core

Top side of Renesas RX26T MCU

The RX26T is a new standard product in RX motor control MCU lineup and meet new customer requirements such as connecting customers' applications with networking and sensors with the expansion of IoT technology, support built-in functions that contribute to the reduction of external components and small packages for mounting in space-saving and miniaturization of enclosures.

RX26T is the successor of RX24T/RX24U, with 120MHz operating frequency, RXv3 core. Equipped with the Flash ROM up to 512KB and a maximum 64KB RAM, and timers/analog functions that realize dual motor + PFC control. It is equipped with dual-bank functions, security functions (TSIP-Lite) and communication functions (I3C BASIC/CAN FD) supporting next-generation standard. Higher processing performance is required for the implementation of high efficiency control for multiple-motor control and PFC software control, RX26T realizes high-performance by supporting operation frequency improvement (80→120MHz) from conventional product RX24T/RX24U, Renesas proprietary RXv3 (721CoreMark), Flash 120MHz no-wait access, and Arithmetic Unit for Trigonometric Functions (hereafter, TFU). As for motor control function, the timer function supports 120MHz PWM (3-phase complementary 2ch+ single-phase complementary 2ch). The analog function is equipped with 3 units of 12bit A/D converters including 2 units of 3-channel simultaneous sample-and-hold circuit. This realizes dual motor by Field Oriented Control (FOC) with a three-shunt method and PFC control, which was not possible with conventional product (RX24T).
