Use parameters in the boot.ini file:
/noguiboot disables the Microsoft boot screen
/bootlogo enabless your own boot screen
Use a 640x480 bitmap with 16 colors (4bit) and save the picture as boot.bmp in the Windows directory.
Windows Embedded Standard 2009 is the sucessor of XP Embedded. It is based on SP3. When you update XP Embedded with the SP3 update, it's exacteley the same.
