Toshiba | The Secrets of a Closed Loop, Sensorless, Sine Wave BLDC Motor Controller Unveiled
Online, On Demand
Live Presentation Date: November 16, 2023
Overview
After a short introduction to the advanced functions of the TC78B011, like sine wave commutation, sensor less speed control and closed loop, we will demonstrate how to work on the TC78B011 by configuring the main parameters from within a PC GUI. We will see how to optimize the parameters for a smooth start-up behavior and a constant motor speed control even under load.
After transferring the parameter to the target board, we will see the motor turning in an online demo. Finally, we will see the TC78B011 running in stand-alone mode without a MCU controlled only by a potentiometer, after writing the configuration to the internal NVM.
Key Takeaways
- Learn about BLDC motor controller TC78B011 details and features
- Observe startup of the motor under open/closed loop operation
- Experience its performance with NVM programming and standalone operation
- Gain an understanding of the controller’s features in a demo configuration with GUI
