Broadcom: Accuracy Calculation for Hall Effect Sensors
Online, On Demand
Presented by Broadcom and EBV Elektronik
Overview
The accuracy of each Hall effect sensor (HES) is important, as it defines how the output achieved accurately represents the actual sensed current. However, in order to understand the accuracy of each HES product, one must know the total output error and the method of calculation.
The components that contribute to the total output error are gain error, offset error as well as non-linearity error. The meanings of each of these will be explained during this webinar.
Total output error comparisons between different HES products can also be compared using a simple table. We will compare the accuracy of at least four different competitive products in this webinar. Attendees will see conclusions regarding the most suitable HES for your designs, can be made based on temperature environments or compared to other premium products, like isolation amplifiers.
Key Takeaways
- Learn how each vendor positions their HES products in terms of accuracy performance - at cold or hot temperatures
- Find out whether HES have better accuracy compared to premium isolation amplifiers
- Understand HES datasheets and accuracy message through a simple mathematics or graphical plot
