PCAP with Haptics combines piezo keys and IR sensors behind thick surfaces to deliver precise force detection and tactile feedback. The hybrid NX10000 sensor measures both mechanical force and infrared reflection, ensuring accurate input even through glass or robust materials.
 

NX10000 Sensor Working Principle​

  • NX10000 is a hybrid sensor that can sense mechanical force and Infra Red (IR) reflected light in a single chip package.​
  • The force is transferred from the touch surface into the PCB through the compressed rubber.​
  • The small bending on the PCB is sensed and amplified by the sensor.​
  • Only if both force press and IR reflection are true the HMI input is validated.​
