Ultra Small Optical Frontend (OFE) for Optical Force Sensing (OFS)
As an integral part of the Optical Force(TM) & Touch Sensing portfolio, this ultra-slim and small Optical Frontend (OFE) is the perfect fit for size and power constraint applications. Its ability to connect a variety of optimized Analog Frontends (AFEs), enables customers to flexibly adopt the solution to their application form factors.
SFH 7061 offers an ultra compact form factor of 1.8 x 1.0 x 0.5mm while integrating an IR emitter, a IR sensitive photodiode and an optical barrier.

- Infrared Emitter (940 nm IR LED)
- Photo Diode (sensitive to 940nm, active area 0.348 x 0.348mm)
- Light barrier to block optical crosstalk
- All combined in a 1.8 x 1.0 x 0.5mm package
- Enables Multimodal buttons (soft, medium and hard press)
- Force touch works behind “ANY” surface
- Add-on feature zero-force touch with IR-transparent surfaces
