NXP Semiconductors TJA144x CAN FD & TJA146x CAN SIC
With partial networking
The TJA1445, TJA1446, TJA1465 and TJA1466 are part of NXP’s portfolio of highspeed CAN sleep mode transceivers which support partial networking by means of a selective wake up feature, as specified in ISO11898-2. All products are fully developed and certified to be ISO 26262 ASIL B compliant.
TJA1445 & TJA1446 CAN FD Partial Networking
The CAN FD transceivers with partial networking sleep mode, are part of the TJA144x transceiver family that implement CAN FD as defined in ISO11898-2:2024 parameter sets A-B. The TJA144x is fully interoperable with the high-speed classical CAN and CAN FD protocols. All variants offer a CAN FD passive feature which in sleep mode prevents the transceiver from waking up and shields the CAN controller from CAN FD messages when running a mixed bus communication.
TJA1465 & TJA1466 CAN SIC Partial Networking
The CAN SIC transceivers with partial networking sleep mode, are part of the TJA146x transceiver family that implement CAN SIC as defined in ISO11898-2:2024 parameter sets A-C. The TJA146x is fully interoperable with the high-speed classical CAN and CAN FD protocols. All variants offer a CAN FD/ CAN XL passive feature which in sleep mode prevents the transceiver from waking up and shields the CAN controller from CAN FD or CAN XL messages when running a mixed bus communication.
Key features
- TJA1445A in SO14 or HVSON14 package with industry benchmark performance, quality, and quiescent currents. Replaces the older generation TJA1145A.
- TJA1445B in a DHVQFN18 package and offers three configurable GPIO pins and a TXEN_N pin which can be used to disable the transmitter.
- The TJA1446 offers an extended feature set on top of the TJA1445, including:
- Two configurable GPIO pins
- A Q&A watchdog with dedicated reset and failsafe/limp home pins
- Accurate VIO undervoltage and overvoltage monitoring.
- The TJA1465 is introduced in two variants:
- TJA1465A in SO14 or HVSON14 package with industry benchmark performance, quality, and quiescent currents.
- TJA1465B in a DHVQFN18 package and offers three configurable GPIO pins and a TXEN_N pin which can be used to disable the transmitter.
- The TJA1466 offers an extended feature set on top of the TJA1465, including:
- Two configurable GPIO pins
- A Q&A watchdog with dedicated reset and failsafe/limp home pins
- Accurate VIO undervoltage and overvoltage monitoring.
- This generation is included in the 15-year program NXP Product Longevity Program ensuring a stable supply of products for your embedded designs.
