The S32K39/37/36 MCUs for Electrification Applications is a purpose-built device addressing the new electric vehicle (EV) needs with a compelling combination of performance, integration, networking, security and functional safety. It supports up to one six-phase or two three-phase motors controlled by over 200 kHz control loops, remote smart actuation applications and AI/ML enabled monitoring applications.

- Up to Three Arm® Cortex®-M7 cores running at 320 MHz – one lockstep pair and two split-lock.
- Two Motor Control Co-Processors running at 320 MHz (S32K39 and S32K36 only)
- Free of cost production intent ASIL D SW resolver, PWM and field oriented Control (FoC) Software running on motor control
- Programmable CoolFlux™ DSP running at 160 MHz
- 4 MB or 6 MB embedded flash memory with ECC and up to 800 KB SRAM
- Smart timers module with two 12-ch eFlexPWM, each one with 8-ch with NanoEdge, one eMIOS and 2x logic control units
- Up to 69 external analog inputs - SAR-ADC and Sigma-Delta ADC
- Several communication modules: Ethernet with Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN), CAN FD, LIN, I2C, FlexIO and SPI
- HSE hardware security engine (HSE_B) with production-intent firmware and crypto drivers
- Advanced functional safety hardware and software for ASIL D systems
