Microchip SHA104

The SHA104 is a member of the CryptoAuthentication™ product family used in accessory or disposable applications.

The device provides 128-bits of symmetric security targeted for disposable and ecosystem control applications and is intended to be used as a companion device with Microchip or other vendor’s microcontrollers. The device can be used in systems where either one-way or mutual authentication is desired.

For systems that use mutual authentication the SHA104 should be used in conjunction with the SHA105 or other CryptoAuthentication host side devices to make sure your symmetric key is also protected in the host.
