Broadcom ACPL-338J
3A gate drive optocoupler with integrated DESAT detection

The ACPL-338J is a 3A gate drive optocoupler device with integrated IGBT protection and fault reporting. The device features common mode transient immunity (CMTI) greater than 100 kV/μs and provides minimal propagation delay with excellent timing skew. The high peak output current and wide operating voltage range eliminate the need of an output buffer circuit, enabling designers to implement cost-effective isolated gate drive solutions for motor drives and power inverters. Packaged in a compact, surface-mountable SO-16 package, this full-featured and easy-to-implement smart gate driver is a pin-to-pin upgrade of the ACPL-333J(with automatic FAULT reset). It is certified to provide reinforced galvanic isolation with 1,414V PEAK working voltage meeting safety regulatory IEC/EN/DIN, UL, and CSA.
