ScioSense ENS161

Digital multi-gas air quality sensor offering low power modes

The ENS161 is the latest addition to the ENS16x family of air quality sensors, sensing a wide range of gases, including volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and oxidizing gases, with intelligent on-chip algorithms.

Both sensors calculate fully processed outputs such as CO2-equivalents (eCO2), TVOC-equivalents (eTVOC) and 5-step Air Quality Index (AQI-U) according to the UBA (German Environment Agency). In addition the ENS161 provides a 500-step relative air quality index according to ScioSense (AQI-S).

By lowering sample rates, the ENS161 offers low power and ultra low power modes, reducing average current consumption to 700µA or 150µA.
