Broadcom's energy harvesting multi-turn (EHMT) counter is the state of the art solution for applications that require a battery-less, compact, high temperature, and highly robust absolute counter.

The AS35-M36M Series encoder module combines the EHMT counting functions with Broadcom's high-performance optical single turn absolute encoder to achieve a maximum of 36 bits multiturn resolutions at extended temperature.
The AS35-M36M Series is suitable for blind hollow shaft applications, especially suited to fit within a typical motor housing diameter 40mm. The encoder is offered as a pair of encoder modules and the matching mechanical codewheel-magnet assembly.
Broadcom offers the standard industrial protocols, namely RS485 half-duplex and BiSS-C full-duplex.
