In-Cabin sensing cameras are evolving from standalone driver monitoring cameras to wide Field-of-View, cabin+driver monitoring systems, mounted on the middle axis of the vehicle (rear view mirror or head unit). Therefore, the area of interest for the cameras are becoming wider and rectangular to detect driver, co-driver, seat belts etc. Existing IR LEDs have circular Field of Illuminations, which do not match such a scene well enough.

OSLON^® Rectangular devices (SFH 47278AS A01 & SFH 47267AS A01) are the first AECQ qualified IR LEDs that provide customers with a rectangular Field-of-Illumination.
