ST offers a wide portfolio of monolithic DC-DC switching converters (i.e. controller and MOSFET in the same package). This broad portfolio of ICs is composed of highly-specialized products to meet every market requirement. High reliability and robustness for industrial (factory automation, UPS, solar, home appliances, lighting, etc.) and other high-voltage applications. High efficiency at any load and a high level of performance for consumer (smartphones, digital cameras, portable fitness devices, LED TVs, set top boxes, Blue-ray players, computer & storage, etc) and server/telecom applications.

ST1PS01/02/03 are nano-quiescent miniaturized synchronous step-down converters, which are able to provide up to 400 mA output current with an input voltage ranging from 1.8 V to 5.5 V.
These converters are specifically designed for applications where high efficiency, PCB size and thickness are the key factors.
The output voltage can be set using two digital control inputs for the ST1PS01, and three digital control inputs for the ST1PS02 and ST1PS03 as follows:

  • ST1PS01, VOUT from 0.625 V to 3.3 V.
  • ST1PS02, VOUT from 1.0 V to 3.3 V.
  • ST1PS03, VOUT from 1.6 V to 3.3 V.


Thanks to the enhanced PCC (peak current control) ST1PS01/02/03 reach very high efficiency conversion using just a 2.2 µH inductor and two small capacitors. Advanced design circuitry is implemented to minimize the quiescent current. The device is available in Flip-Chip package for ST1PS01, and thin plastic package for ST1PS02 and ST1PS03.
