The K32W041AM/A expands the existing K32W0x portfolio, designed to power the next generation of ultra-low-current multiprotocol wireless devices, supporting Zigbee 3.0/Thread/IEEE 802.15.4 and BLE 5.0.

K32W0x has an Arm® Cortex®-M4, with 640 KB flash and 152 KB SRAM, enough room and flexibility for complex applications and over-the-air (OTA) upgrade. It has a rich set of peripherals and interfaces for connected applications and a quad serial flash memory controller, SPIFI, to extend non-volatile memory.

The K32W041A increases the output power to +15 dBm. The K32W041AM also supports +15 dBm and includes an additional 1 MB of Flash.

Enablement: K32W0x Development Kit (PN: IOTZTB-DK006)

The K32W0x Development Kit (PN: IOTZTB-DK006) is designed to make it as easy as possible to get started with your Zigbee, Thread & BLE projects based on K32W0x. The IOTZTB Development Kit’s rich components include a control bridge/generic router with an NFC reader, generic switch node, light/sensor node, USB dongle and K32W061 and JN5189 upgrade boards that make quick prototyping possible for a small wireless network.  K32W041AM and K32W041A upgrade boards are available separately.

K32W0x Development Kit (PN: IOTZTB-DK006) Features

A complete package (IOTZTB -DK006) including:

  • 1x Light/Sensor expansion board

K32W USB Dongle

K32W USB dongle (PN: OM15080-K32W) is included in K32W0x Development Kit (PN: IOTZTB-DK006) and is also for sale separately.

  • Can be loaded with Sniffer or Zigbee Control Bridge or pure Bluetooth USB application, USB functionality provided by USB2UART converter device
  • Integrated PCB meander antenna
  • Two user-configurable LEDs
  • 8Mbit Quad SPI Flash
  • Supplied in a standard plastic case and thermal heat-shrink

K32W Upgrade Board: PN(K32W-001-T10)

The K32W Upgrade Board is compatible with the QN9090 and JN5189 baseboards. It is included in the K32W Development Kit (PN: IOTZTB-DK006) and is also for sale separately.

  • A module on mezzanine board
  • Can be loaded with Sniffer or Zigbee Control Bridge
  • Integrated PCB meander antenna

K32W041AM Upgrade Board (K32WAM-001-T10)

  • Module on mezzanine board to support K32W041AM
  • Must be purchased in addition to the IOTZTB-DK006 to develop for the K32W041AM

  • Module on mezzanine board to support K32W041A
  • Must be purchased in addition to the IOTZTB-DK006 to develop for the K32W041A
