NXP is expanding the i.MX 8M Nano family by adding the i.MX 8M Nano UltraLite, offering affordable performance in a compact 11 x 11 mm package. The i.MX 8M Nano family includes the i.MX 8M Nano UltraLite, the i.MX 8M Nano Lite, and i.MX 8M Nano.

i.MX 8M Nano UltraLite EVK
- The i.MX 8M Nano UltraLite EVK (8MNANOD3L-EVK) provides a platform for rapid evaluation of the i.MX 8M Nano UltraLite applications processors utilizing 1, 2, or 4x Arm® Cortex®-A53 cores and 1x Cortex-M7 core. It offers affordable high performance, flexible options for memory and high-speed interfaces, as well as industry-leading audio capabilities.
- The i.MX 8M Nano UltraLite EVK comes with a base board and a CPU board (compute module). They are delivered pre-connected as a single EVK system.

Key Features of the i.MX 8M Nano UltraLite EVK
- The compute module is a compact design and consists of the key system components – SoC, PMIC, Memory, Flash and Wi-Fi/BT for connectivity. The compute module uses 1GB DDR3L.
- The 8MNANOD3L-EVK includes an NXP PMIC (PCA9450) and SDIO Wi-Fi/Bluetooth Azurewave module (based on NXP 88W8987 solution with Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) 1x1 Dual-Band (2.4/5 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.1).
- Integrated PMIC drivers, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth drivers and communications stacks in the Linux BSP simplify and accelerate application development.
- The base board brings out all of the key interfaces – USB, MIPI-CSI, microSD, Ethernet, along with expansion headers such as M.2, audio, and general purpose (UART, I2S).
