The Integrated Graphics and Touch (IGaT) Curiosity Evaluation Kit uses the SAME5x 32-bit microcontroller from Microchip Technology to implement a minimized chip-count graphics and 2D touch screen solution for cost-sensitive applications without performance compromises.

This innovative system of hardware platform and software libraries will demonstrate how to easily craft human-machine interfaces for a variety of applications without the need for an external touch controller.

  • Display Interface: 8-bit parallel 8080, 3.5 inch, 480 x 320 pixels, QSPI
  • Touch sensor interface: based on existing touch channel count from RockTech display

The SAM E51 Integrated Graphics and Touch Curiosity Evaluation Kit (EV14C17A) is a hardware platform for evaluating the SAME51J20A microcontroller. The evaluation kit integrates a complete touch screen, TFT graphics, and touch surface into a single-chip solution supported by the MPLAB® X Integrated Development Environment (IDE). The evaluation kit provides easy access to the features of the SAME51J20A to integrate the device into a custom design. The EV14C17A Evaluation Kit includes an on-board debugger, therefore no external tools are necessary to program the SAME51J20A device.
