The NVG800A75L4DSC is part of the VE-Trac™ family of power modules and offers dual side cooling and compact footprints for Hybrid (HEV) and Electric Vehicle (EV) traction inverter applications. The module consists of two Field Stop 4 (FS4) 750 V Narrow Mesa IGBTs in a half-bridge configuration and utilizes latest IGBT technology from onsemi to deliver outstanding performance in EV traction applications. A dual-side liquid cooling heatsink reference design along with a complete inverter kit (NVG800A75L4-EVK) is available to enable easier design in.

The VE-TracTM Dual NVG800A75L4DSC half-bridge module is targeting demanding traction inverter applications with 400 V battery architecture. The innovative and proprietary package based on dual side cooling configuration delivers market-leading thermal performance and longer power cycle and operation Lifetime. The absence of any wire bonds in the module helps to achieve more than twice the lifetime compare to gel fill case modules.
The device can operate continuously at junction temperature up to 175 °C, allowing more power to be delivered within the compact footprint of the inverter.
It integrates Embedded smart current and temperature sensors on the IGBT to deliver faster reaction time for over-current or over-temperature protection.
The VE-Trac™ Dual platform will facilitate simple and rapid scaling of power for different inverter output level and offers the best cost of ownership per KW. Upcoming modules, including NVG600A75L4DSB and NVG500A75L4DSB, will quickly enable customers to develop 120 kW and 100 kW inverters with the same mechanical footprint.
