Infineon Technologies XDP™ digital power XDPL8219 controller
The XDP™ digital power XDPL8219 is a high-performance secondary-side regulated flyback controller with a high power factor and constant voltage output
The XDP™ digital power XDPL8219 is a high-performance secondary-side regulated flyback controller with a high power factor and constant voltage output. The device operates in quasi-resonant mode (QRM) to maximize the efficiency and minimize the electromagnetic interference (EMI) over a wide load range. It enters active burst mode (ABM) at light load to prevent audible noise from being heard while achieving no-load standby power as low as 100 mW.
Key features
- Flyback controller with enhanced power factor correction (PFC)
- Enhanced total harmonic distortion (THD) correction
- Standby power 100 mW
- Reporting of parameters via uni-directional UART communication
Additional features
- Digitally configurable parameters
- UL1310 safety feature
Applications
- LED lighting
- AC-DC power supply
Available tools
XDPL8219 40W reference design
The REF-XDPL8219-U40W is a digitally configurable front-stage HPF flyback converter with a secondary-side regulated (SSR) constant-voltage (CV) output of 54V. An isolated UART reporting evaluation plug-in board is also included in this reference design packaging box. This plug-in board has an isolated uni-directional UART circuit, which can be evaluated optionally, by connecting it to the REF-XDPL8219-U40W.
