The NIS5x2x Series of eFuse is a self-protected, resettable, solid-state electronic fuse that monitors input and output voltage, output current, and die temperature.
The 12 V electronic fuse series is rated 8 A, 10 A, and 12 A. It is designed to buffer the load device from excessive voltage and current which can damage sensitive circuits.
It includes an overvoltage clamp circuit that limits the output voltage during transients but does not shut the unit down, thereby allowing the load circuit to continue its operation.
